Anybody have good recomendations on eating and nightlife in South Beach? Primarily interested in ceviche, cuban food, seafood, lighter fare, not really interested in Italian or big heavy meals. We have a reservation at Talula, thinking about Ola and would like to know about some of the newer places. Price does not matter. Nightlife we like loungey chill places, maybe a club one night if its worth it, not interested in sports bars, etc. Any other tips appreciated. We will be in town from a Thursday to Sunday.

Six hour layover in Sydney next Friday morning. Is there a good place to get brunch and perhaps some wine/beer that we can get to without spending too much?

I'd like some tips on nice, down to earth, mixed-group, unpretentious, laid back bars in Baltimore and/or Washington, DC. If you happen to know Brooklyn (NY, not MD), Moe's in Fort Greene would be the perfect example. I'm thinking music that's heavy on the not-so-obvious 70s and 80s R&B, rare grooves, funk, with a dash of reggae and jazz; a crowd that tends to be ethnically diverse; the drinks aren't at Financial District prices; and (perhaps most importantly) where ex-suburban gentrifiers would feel kind of out of place at. I realize I could very well be asking for the impossible.

Please help with suitable nightlife (good bars) in Monterrey, Mexico. From the U.S. and looking for something cool/funky. No dance clubs please. Will be here for three nights and located downtown. Willing to taxi anywhere. Local flavor a plus. Thanks.

What are good places for breakfast in the North Station area of Boston? When I go to the city on an early morning train I would like to start my day in the city with breakfast at something other than a fast food chain restaraunt or donut shop. These are pleasure trips and a walk over to the North End would be nice. I have been urban hiking in Boston for a great many years and am willing to travel a distance for a good breakfast.

Advice on restaurants in Limerick, Ireland that will be open on Christmas Day? Bonus points for restaurants with a fireplace. Alternately, recommendations on reasonably priced restaurants in Dublin with fireplaces for the last few days in December?

We're in Berlin at the end of next week, and wouldn't mind going to somewhere that has a range of German beers, rather than the typical bars which will serve you just Lowenbrau or, y'know, Bitburger. So, the equivalent of a decent beer hall, which serves more beer. And good 'pub' food, German-style. Any ideas where?

I'm looking for a venue to hold an event for 50 or fewer people in Las Vegas. It will be a social event, basically people standing, talking, having a few drinks and eating. A sit-down restaurant is not quite it - not social enough. In the past, in other cities, we've rented out upscale beer joints for this event. Can anyone recommend such a place in Vegas? Close to the main strip and Mandalay Bay is preferred.

I'm trying to put together a restaurant guide for an academic meeting being held in Los Angeles' Universal City. Aside from the (mediocre) places along the nearby Citywalk, can folks recommend interesting / funky / neat / fancy and other types of worthwhile places to eat within a short taxi ride, drive or public transportation trip (from the Universal City metro station)?

My husband and I are spending this weekend in Portland for our 12th wedding anniversary. We are staying at the Mark Spencer, and have tickets to a play Sunday evening. I'd like to book us a dinner someplace nice (but under $200 including wine/tip) for dinner either before or after the theater.

Charlotte, NC -- We'll be there for a long weekend and need recommendations for restaurants serving fresh/healthy grilled fish (or even fish tacos). Want someplace casual (not necessarily cheap, but where jeans are OK). Not interested in shrimp, crab or lobster. Thanks.
