I'm traveling to the San Francisco Bay Area with a van and a trailer, and my plans for where to put all of this when I arrive have fallen through. Where should I store my stuff?

What's the best way for San Francisco Airport to Union Square? I'll be going from airport at 10pm Friday night and was wondering if BART would be faster. And does anyone have aany can't (less touristy) misses in SF for a 48 hour weekend there?

Going to San Francisco to see Michael Franti play at the Power to the Peaceful concert on September 9th. It's been a while since I've been to SF, so I'm looking for nightlife recommendations.

Looking for good music, drinks, dancing (no pop music), theater, food, sight-seeing, adventure, etc. in San Francisco for a summer vacation. It will be me and my girl. It will also be her birthday.

Does anyone know a good company that does short term rentals for apartments/houses in San Francisco? I'm going on holiday there in August for a week with a few friends (there'll be 3-5 of us), and we'd prefer staying in an apartment rather than just getting a hotel room each.

San Francisco MeFites! Does anyone know what happened to the San Francisco Residence Club at 851 California St. (very near Powell)? It was an old (built in 1906) hotel/hostel/residence club with the nicest people. Lots of young people from all over the world stayed there and - I just found out it has closed! Has something taken its place? Anybody know what happened? I stayed there many times over the years and I'm still in shock. Can't find info anywhere. Can any Bay Area MeFites help? So many great memories there....I am sooo sad.

I'm going to San Francisco for a week: 2/7-2/13. The theme for my activities will be "ingenuity." First, I'm looking for technology related art but I'm open anything that's cool and techy or even anything that makes you think, "Wow! ingenious!"

I'm going to be in San Francisco for a conference from 3/14-->3/18, but sadly not the emerging technology conference. Anyway, I was wondering if there is anything like Japan's Akihabara--some sort of dense flea market with strange gadgets and such, that I might visit.
Any sort of robot-themed "performance" involving flammable materials would be cool too, but I've heard that Survival Research Labs isn't allowed to play in the city any longer.
In short, what would be some cool geeky/techy things to do while there that might not be available elsewhere and won't land me in jail?

10 fine arts students from Oregon State University are planning a trip to San Francisco for Memorial Day Weekend (arriving Friday night, leaving Monday morning). What museums or other art-related locations are worth visiting? Bonus points for hostel and cheap food advice!

I have a friend coming to visit in mid-March. He usually stays at my place (East Bay, SF Bay area), but just for fun, he'd like to stay at a hotel in the Castro (SF) or thereabouts (wink wink nudge nudge say no more). Anyone know of anyplace reasonably priced (read: cheap) where he could be adventurous, but that doesn't smell of urine (or worse)?
