Romantic Getaway Filter: Help my lovely lady and I find an affordable cabin (or other cozy, romantic-type-lodgings) within driving range of DC for 4-5 days midweek in mid-March. Google provides a lot of information on this subject, but I'm having trouble really narrowing it down, so I'm seeking the input of the Hive. [more inside]

Flying Out of DC-Filter: This coming Thursday morning, I'm flying out of Reagan National Airport for a conference. I'm going to be driving in out of Philadelphia and was wondering what the cheapest/safest parking option would be. I'm returning Sunday afternoon, so roughly 3, 3.5 days.

My wife and I are traveling to Washington DC for a work-week vacation. We love musuems and I have many visits planned (Smithsonian, LOC, Air-Space, etc.). What are not-to-miss museums/historical monuments? And most of all - when I'm all "museumed-out" - what are the best night out and local fun stops we should not miss?

I'm going to be in DC from 9/9-9/18. The standard museums aren't my thing. What else can you suggest? Things I like: food . unfine art . quirky shopping . rare films . city secrets . roof gardens . classical music . independent bookshops.

DC Filter: My flight leaves for home tomorrow (Thursday) at 4:15pm. I will wake up early in the morning and plan on setting out to enjoy the city for 4 or 5 hours. What should I do? Tours? Museums? Attractions? I am open to almost any suggestion, but realize that my options may be limited due to my limited time here.
