Will be going to Boston on our 25th wedding aniversary, Thursday June 7th for 2.5 days, staying at the Westin Waterfront 425 Summer Street. Need your recommendations on:
Best way to get from hotel to downtown (don't mind public transportation)
Good local places to eat, seafood, italian, etc ( not formal, please) for lunch & dinner
Interesting must do things,etc,etc
This trip was sort of a last minute thing, and don't have too much time to research, so please HELP
Thanks

CluelessFilter, MassachusettsFilter: "Mobil station at exit 17 off 495 in Franklin". Totally lost about how to find out whether this location is even vaguely accessible via the
MBTA/commuter rail? I can plug in an address at the MBTA site but I have no idea how to find nearby addresses or that of the Mobil station at that particular exit.

What are good places for breakfast in the North Station area of Boston? When I go to the city on an early morning train I would like to start my day in the city with breakfast at something other than a fast food chain restaraunt or donut shop. These are pleasure trips and a walk over to the North End would be nice. I have been urban hiking in Boston for a great many years and am willing to travel a distance for a good breakfast.

Can anyone recommend a
nice, mid-priced
hotel in Boston, in the city centre but not hard to get to by public transport from the airport? (Bonus points if I'm still going to be able to book a room for two weeks from now.)

I will be visiting Boston and than (somewhat) extended New England for a couple of weeks. I want to see the city, and I want to see some nature. Help me with some suggestions for my trip!

BostonFilter: I'm annoyed that I can't find info about this online anywhere, but is the
MBTA doing their usual fare-free subway and bus rides on
Earth Day this year (4/22)? I'm having a housewarming party that day, and I want to invite all my out-of-town friends up early to frolic around town. Their Web site tells me nothing, nor does Boston.com.
